As the Director for Institutional Culture and Employee Experience you will facilitate an environment of diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility for the libraries. You will promote the libraries’ growth as an innovative learning organization and promote a culture of excellence through planning and leadership. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, in a relative field, and a minimum of five years of professional work experience in Human Resources; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Solid experience in cultivating and educating staff on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility issues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an academic library setting preferred.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft H/R or similar databases preferred.
  • Experience in labor relations preferred.

Responsibilities
What You Will Do
  • Provide comprehensive, customer-driven and employee-driven personnel services that support the mission and vision of Syracuse University and SU Libraries and leadership and knowledge in library-wide planning, change management, and organizational development activities.
  • Develop and execute training for the library staff.
  • Serve on the Libraries’ Management Team and supervise two full-time employees.
  • Cultivate, coordinate and guide efforts to define, understand, assess, educate, and foster diversity, equity and inclusion among Libraries’ staff; serving as the Libraries’ strategic leader in all employee & labor relations activities.
  • Oversee all departmental payroll procedures; handle sensitive and confidential situations and administer the Libraries’ professional development efforts.
