Job Description

The Collins College of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Accounting starting August 15, 2023. Evidence of teaching effectiveness in Accounting is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a student-oriented teacher. Qualified applicants must have a master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline, or be near completion of a graduate degree.

The successful applicant will teach courses in Accounting that are part of the College’s curriculum and may teach courses in the MBA programs as needed.

With a student- faculty ratio of 11 to 1, TU offers a personal education for its students. The University of Tulsa also offers free tuition for faculty dependents.

The Collins College of Business is accredited by AACSB International. The Collins College of Business has an enrollment of over 700 undergraduate business students and over 200 graduate business students.  The School of Accounting and CIS offers an undergraduate major and minor in CIS and Accounting, and a Masters in Accounting.  The School also supports the College’s MBA program.
