Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for Adult Education Instructional Designer. The Adult Education Instructional Designer provides instructional and program design expertise for the development and support of synchronous, asynchronous, and technology-enhanced blended courses for the Adult Education program. This position collaborates with teachers to develop high-quality courses while facilitating best practices for online instruction

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Develops and conducts instructor-led and online workshops and seminars for faculty, staff and administrators on Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs
  • Consults with faculty on how to promote understanding of instructional practices and effective instructional strategies to implement the goals of the IET programs
  • Builds lesson structures and establishes classroom routines to seamlessly integrate workforce training competencies and workforce preparation activities aligned with the FDOE Adult Education framework standards and objectives
  • Assesses needs to design and develop a tailored curriculum
  • Conducts workshops and consults with departments or individuals to promote IET programs
  • Conducts academic research on best practices of IET programs
  • Develops criterion-referenced objectives, performance standards and instructional strategies
  • Promotes the use of instructional and course management technology and instructs faculty in the use of web technologies

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and two (2) years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of related experience
