Associate Registrar



The Associate Registrar supports the maintenance and integrity of student records, provides leadership to staff within the Office of Registration and Records, and directly but collaboratively manages the creation and maintenance of the academic calendar and course schedule.

POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Associate Registrar upholds the academic integrity of associate degrees and certificates. They are responsible for all aspects of student registration, the integrity and maintenance of student academic records and course records, recommending and implementin g policies and procedures, academic scheduling, and ensuring that resources and support are available to deliver quality service to students, staff, and faculty . This position ensures that the processes of grade changes, transfer of credits, course substitutions, prior learning credit, credit by exam, academic calendar and course building, and academic amnesty, all follow regulatory and institutional requirements .

Qualifications:

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PROFESSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Demonstrates an understanding of the community college mission and practices a policy of inclusion. Has the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population . Is proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office suite, Ellucian Colleague, and other software that serves students and stakeholders . Demonstrates skills in processes improvement, problem – solving, interpersonal skills, team – building, and people management . Has the ability to maintain a workin g knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, both internal and external. Provides effective communication on matters of importance and significance. Has the ability to develop, organize, and report on outcome measures. Demonstrates technological skills: Microsoft Office, Goo g le Workspace, Ellucian/Colleague (or similar)

Education: Bachelor’s d egr ee required; Master’s degree preferred

Experienc e: Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a Registrar, Registration, Enrollment Services or related service environment that includes academic scheduling responsibilities. Community college experience preferred. Ellucian Colleague and Ad Astra software experience preferred .

Hour s: Flexible schedule to meet department needs . Some evenings, weekends, and extended hours may be required .
