Position Summary:

The College of Arts & Sciences invites qualified applicants to apply for our Curriculum Coordinator! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

This is a professional position that is responsible for the coordination curricula at both the
graduate and undergraduate level for the College of Arts and Sciences. This position reports to
the Associate Dean for Curriculum and Student Academic Success and includes the
responsibility for organization and management of administrative work of College curricula. An
important dimension of this position includes work managing the equating of transfer course
credit. It also includes responsibility for communication to internal audiences about curriculum,
management of new course creation, course and program approval and activities in all curricula
related committees, including the Academic Affairs Committee and the Graduate Affairs
Committee. The position has the responsibility to assist in monitoring and entering data into UD
course management systems and databases. Another component of this role includes working
with faculty on curriculum design and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. At least three years professional working experience in a college/university
3. Successful experience:
a. effectively prioritizing and organizing multiple assignments
b. producing deliverables in a timely and well-organized manner
c. producing clear and concise written communication
d. with MS Office suite and Google suite
4. Proficiency with spreadsheets and demonstrated ability to aggregate data and generate reports
5. Proven ability to work effectively in teams and in a collaborative manner, across organizational boundaries
6. Evidence of work with faculty surrounding curriculum matters
7. Willingness to take minutes and schedule meetings for supervisor and on behalf of various committees

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Five or more-years professional working experience in a college/university
2. Proficiency in the use of educational technology (e.g. learning management systems, curriculum management tools)
3. Demonstrated ability to define problems and work with colleagues to collect and link data collection across systems
4. Familiarity with University of Dayton academic structures, procedures, and policies
5. Proficiency with Banner and Cognos IT systems and Access and Excel
6. Comprehensive experience working with faculty on curriculum development and assessment
7. Knowledge of policies related to transfer credit
8. Knowledge of and sensitivity to Catholic and Marianist values of the University of Dayton
9. Commitment to the breadth of education including educating the whole person in the Marianist tradition to support the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion and a commitment to service to the community, university and profession.
10. Demonstrated successful experience creating and managing data systems, creating reports and processing improvement protocols

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
