General Summary: Assists with the graduate and post-baccalaureate student recruitment activities of the admission office within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. Reports to the assistant director of graduate admission and works cooperatively with co-workers, prospective graduate and post-baccalaureate students and alums in seeking potential candidates for admission to graduate and post-baccalaureate programs at Agnes Scott College.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assists with graduate and post-baccalaureate student recruitment activities.
  2. Recruits prospects and applicants through calling and email campaigns, and individual visits that may involve moderate local travel in the fall and spring.
  3. Implements recruitment strategies for graduate and post-baccalaureate students, including college visits, grad school fairs, interviewing, correspondence with students and counselors.
  4. Interprets college and admission policies and practices to students, alumnae, and staff in a variety of settings including evening and weekend information programs, college visits, college fairs, and related meetings.
  5. Assists graduate admission team with information sessions to large and small groups, and assists with other recruitment and yield activities.
  6. Processes data entry and record maintenance of recruitment prospects and applicants.
  7. Assists graduate and post-baccalaureate applicants through the application process and tracks applications for completion utilizing the CRM tool.
  8. Supports graduate admission team with email development in Slate, flyers and graphics in Canva, and other ad hoc projects to support marketing and recruitment.
  9. Operates within approved travel and program budgets.
  10. Fulfills programmatic responsibilities as assigned by the senior director of graduate and post-baccalaureate admission.
  11. Compiles admission reports as needed.
  12. Serves as a resource for student workers.


REQUIREMENTS

Education : Bachelor's degree in related occupational field of study.

Experience 2-3 years work experience. Experience in admissions or a student services role in higher education, customer service or a related field, preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Considerable knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel) and electronic mail.
  • Proficiency in public speaking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good judgment and the ability to work collegially in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
  • Desire to support a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
  • Travel required from the office to other locations on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Irregular, weekend and evening hours are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
