Position Summary:
The University of New Mexico, College of Education and
HumanSciences, Department of Special Education, invites
applications for aLecturer III Faculty position inSpecial
Education, with experience and expertise in Applied Behavior
Analysis(ABA).
The successful candidate will beexpected to (a) provide direct
supervision to students completing their ABAField
Experience/Practicum, and (b) teach courses in ABA and related
areas.Commensurate with their background and expertise, this
individual might alsocontribute to ongoing program development
efforts and coordinate thesupervision of students completing their
ABA Field Experience/Practicum. In addition,the successful
candidate will advise graduate students and serve on ABAgraduate
certificate capstone committees. The University is
especiallyinterested in candidates who can contribute to diversity
through theirteaching, research, and service. Successful candidates
must be committed toworking with broadly diverse student and
community populations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Special Education, Educational Psychology or closely related field by August 2023
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum two years' experience providing behavior analytic services as a BCBA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Robust and current formal academic preparation in (a) ABA principles, strategies, and ethical practice; (b) special education and/or working with individuals with disabilities; and (c) working with individuals from historically marginalized communities.
- Extensive experience in behavior analytic work in school, community, and/or clinical settings with individuals with disabilities, including experience working with individuals from historically marginalized communities and those with a wide range of behavioral support needs.
- Excellence or potential for excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of ABA.
- Prior experience supervising students in ABA Field Experience/Practicum placements or other related experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
