Position Summary

The Office of Communications is responsible for elevating the profile of Trinity College and engaging various audiences and constituencies within its community. Trinity College seeks a talented and creative producer of digital content to join a highly strategic and collaborative team. With a focus on expanding social media and digital communications efforts prior to and during the Bicentennial year, this producer will play a key role in the work of engaging the Trinity College community and expanding the college’s reputation and stories externally. We are looking for a highly talented creative professional with demonstrated experience and a clear vision for producing multimedia projects to support strategic frameworks of institutional importance. Initially reporting to the vice president of strategic marketing and communications, the successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with experience in the best practices of multimedia communications. At the heart of this job is the clear skill of storytelling and an endless desire to create the most effective, innovative, and compelling content.

The successful candidate must be:
  • A well-rounded video producer who can both produce artful videos with a clear understand how to pull together content packages and campaigns.
  • A visual communicator with an artistic eye for photography and design.
  • A digital strategist capable of bringing creativity, innovation, a drive to learn new technology, and the ability to keep on top of communications trends to the college.
  • A seasoned digital and multimedia producer of podcasts and web-based user experiences.
  • A skilled copywriter who is able to understand key concepts and tell creative and illustrative stories, mostly short form.
  • A strategic collaborator who is willing to both to listen and understand objectives and provide digital solutions.
Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Must have at least 3 or more years of experience producing professional digital content. A portfolio of professional work client or institutional work is required.
  • Must be an excellent producer and project manager with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and handling multiple projects.
  • Expertise in writing and podcast production. Must be able to audio edit.
  • Video, photography, and digital design skills are extremely desirable.
  • A demonstrated understanding of social media, email, and digital engagement strategy.
  • Experienced collaborator who excels in working with others toward a common goal.
  • Demonstrated creative and entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to identify innovative engagement opportunities.
  • Value Trinity’s commitment to inclusiveness; demonstrate respect and commitment to diversity.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Marketing or communications experience in higher education or a non-profit setting.
  • Experience with video and photography software (e.g., FinalCut, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge).
  • Experience with audio recording and editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition).
  • Design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva Pro, are an added plus.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and/or CRM systems.
  • Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress.
  • Degree from or familiarity with Trinity College highly desired.
