Job Description

Mizzou Advancement is seeking a dynamic team member to support the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Advancement – Constituent Units. The successful candidate will oversee complex and strategic scheduling and high-level relationship management using excellent judgment, discretion and confidentiality as appropriate.

And this position will have the opportunity to excel in the areas of:

Effective Communication and Professional Administrative Work:
  • Assist with review and verification of fundraising performance metrics including major gift proposals, contact reports, fundraising reports for major schools and colleges at the University of Missouri.
  • Review/verify information on departmental income and expense statement against departmental records and make corrections when appropriate in order to ensure that statement is accurate and complete using knowledge of University accounting procedures.
  • Receive/check/approve and sign requisitions, vouchers, forms and documents for AVC (or under own signature) in order to ensure that requisition vouchers are approved/distributed in a timely manner using knowledge of appropriate purchase/expenditures to be made.
  • Compile timesheets summaries (reporting all leave time) in Peoplesoft and process monthly OneCard charges.
Logistics, Scheduling and Planning:
  • Provide support for a variety of external events including, but not limited to, donor recognition and fundraising activities.
  • Help with scheduling meetings and appointments for AVC and other parties—via emails or phone calls—gathering and summarizing information requests for meetings as necessary.
  • Book travel arrangements for AVC including flights, hotels, and other travel reservations.
  • Support the coordination and scheduling of staff and volunteer committees.
  • Assist with coordinating annual planning process for schools, colleges, and units.
Salary

Salary Range: $20.00 - $32.21

GGS Grade: 8

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is preferred.
  • One year of related experience in business administration, personnel administration, or higher education administration is preferred.
  • Proficient use of PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access; familiarity with PeopleSoft and Advance is preferred.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates that have excellent problem solving skills, ability to work on multiple projects at once, and professional credibility.
