Work Schedule: Supervisory DDS clinical coursework. Employees must reside in California while employed with NOCCCD, even during remote work.

Job Description:
Position includes but not limited to overseeing clinical labs and signing of coronal polishing, radiation safety and pit and fissure patients documentation.

Must complete documentation according to DDS guidelines and reports to the Dental Assisting Program Director.

Must have excellent supervisory skills and maintains current and accurate training.

Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

Special Requirements:
Current DDS or DMD license.

Current Healthcare Provider (BLS) Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED certificate.


The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two (2) years of professional experience directlyrelated to the teaching assignment

OR

Any Associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience directly related tothe teaching assignment

OR

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community collegein the appropriate subject matter area

OR

the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training,employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s)and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in teaching dental or dental assisting programs.

High level of critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Dental field experience within the last five (5) years.

High professional standards and strong interpersonal skills.

Experienced in approaching work and interactions with colleagues and/or students in an equity minded manner. Ability to provide an inclusive and welcoming work/educational environment.
