Transcript Specialist
Registrar's Office
Full Time
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and data entry of transcript information - domestic, military and international
- Review and updating of transfer equivalency tables
- Assist with correspondence related to international, domestic and military transcript processing
- Assists customers with transfer inquiries through a comprehensive understanding of Registrar's Office and University processes and procedures
- Verifies accuracy of transcripts received through various sources (scanned, email and USPS)
- Provides administrative support as needed to Assistant Registrar of Transfer & Articulation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access
- Demonstrated ability to learn different and new technologies
- Demonstrated experience using email programs
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult interactions with diplomacy, tact and in a confidential manner
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal and telephone etiquette)
- Demonstrated work history that emphasizes an understanding of customer service and reflects an ability to work with high volume of telephone and customer contacts
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to make independent decisions with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and the public
- Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
