Job Summary

Coordinate honors recruitment of new students including incoming freshmen, incoming transfer students, and students currently enrolled at the university. Coordinate all honors communications with prospective students, involvement in recruitment events, and selection processes. Serve as liaison to Undergraduate Admissions office as liaison for these activities. In addition, provide honors academic advising support in both individual and group settings to ensure student success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with data collection, data entry, analyses, and creation of statistical reports
  • Develop and maintain student files and records
  • Comply with and enforce student privacy regulations such as FERPA
  • Execute honors recruitment activities
  • Serve as liaison to Undergraduate Admissions and cooperate in the activities of the Honors Ambassadors
  • Coordinate all communications with prospective honors students including website, email, and social media
  • Make and give presentations on topics related to honors advisement and student engagement
  • Advise students on options to satisfy honors degree requirements, honors program changes, resolve issues, evaluate classes, register students for classes, make presentations.
  • Provide guidance to students on fulfilling honors requirements
  • Educate students on nationally competitive scholarship/fellowship opportunities as well as scholarship/funding opportunities through the university
  • Educate students on resources available to aid in student success, both within the campus and larger community


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education
  • Master's Degree

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with honors or high-ability university students
  • Experience in academic advising
  • Background working with co-curricular and extra-curricular programs


Proposed Salary

$44,000 - $45,977

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
