A full-time academic staff position is available in University Centers beginning November 2022.  The official title for this assignment is Administrative Manager with a working title of Administrative Food Manager. This is a fixed term renewal appointment.  The salary range will commensurate with experience and qualifications.

DUTIESThe Administrative Food Service Manager oversees, initiates, develops, and implements operational services that support food service operations in partnership with the campus dining vendor with a dialed in focus on the daily food service operations from the University’s perspective. This position will closely monitor and advocate for all-things student focused and assist in directing futuristic/contemporary dining options, strategic marketing, presenting & implementing any new proposals with food service. This position will also be responsible for periodic reports/progress/status or other special reports leadership may need.

This position also works collaboratively across the University to support the mission of UW-Eau Claire and initiatives of the Chancellor. Special and innovative projects for University Centers & may also fall under the direction of this position and would be reporting to the Director of University Centers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for upholding the University Mission through dedicated job performance and service excellence with a commitment to holistic student development
  • Exhibits behaviors that properly represent the University’s mission, vision and values including, but not limited to, taking substantive measures to create and maintain an inclusive environment free of bias, leading and communicating in a way that champions diversity, and creating inclusive awareness for greater understanding of diversity
  • Plans, implements, executes, and evaluates existing strategies and objectives and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement
  • Identifies workflow needs, contributes to the development of strategic and operational dining solutions, allocates resources, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
  • Leads the development and preparation of periodic reports and financial statements, and records progress, status, or other special reports for leadership or external agencies
  • Collaborates and coordinates marketing efforts between food service vendor and campus to promote and align with University branding as necessary
  • May assist in special event planning by scheduling logistics and securing resources for program activities across multiple work units in compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications
  • May assist in the development and monitoring of the unit or program budget and recommend food service program expenditures
  • Collect, analyze and assess customer service feedback/surveys to determine and prioritize new and old initiatives
