Position, Department: Dining Services Assistant, Catering

Type of Position: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs, 12 hours per week

Pay Grade/Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.75 *Actual pay depends on qualifications

Position Summary: Work with others as a responsible, professional team member. Assist in the daily operations of Catering and Cafe Tempo. Provide customer service with a positive attitude. Assist in the set-up, preparation, service and break-down in Catering and Cafe Tempo. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • 1. Follow standardized procedures as set by JCCC Catering and Cafe Tempo b. Willingness to take instructions and ask questions with a positive attitude c. Arrive on time, in uniform exhibiting proper hygiene d. Communicate schedule availability to the supervisor/manager in timely fashion e. Complete JCCC mandatory annual training
  • 2. Customer Service Representative: a. Provide customer service with a helpful positive attitude in a timely fashion b. Be knowledgeable of menu items and be able to answer clients questions
  • 3. Assist in the set-up, preparation and breakdown of catered events: a. Practice safe and healthy food handling procedures b. Knowledgeable about set-up, service & breakdown procedures and the cash register c. Complete prep tasks in a timely fashion
