We seek applicants who will thrive in an interdisciplinary academic unit at one of the nation's premier land-grant research universities. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent by the time of appointment.

At the iSchool at Illinois, we employ methods from across the disciplines to grapple with society's most urgent challenges related to information, its practices, and technologies. Our faculty are global experts in areas as diverse as AI, children's books, and network science.

Our doctoral degree in Information Sciences builds on a long tradition that includes the oldest LIS doctoral program in the country and the top-ranked professional master's program in library and information science. We also offer professional master's programs in information management and bioinformatics, a licensure program in school librarianship, as well as an interdisciplinary, STEM-designated undergraduate degree in information sciences. To apply, please create a candidate profile at jobs.illinois.edu and upload a cover letter discussing your interest in and suitability for this position, CV, and statements of research and teaching.
