Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a business partner for all EABS units by providing support and guidance for the division's human resources activities per university policies and procedures. These responsibilities include but are not limited to performance management, compensation analysis, recruitment, employee relations, talent development, planning, coordination of training, human resources analysis, and reporting. This role is expected to lead the operational HR function within EABS while collaborating and working with the Division of HR and the Sr. Division Director on strategic programs and initiatives.
The human resources manager champions a responsive workforce that embraces a culture of continuous improvement, self-assessment, and accountability in a dynamic environment. The human resources manager collaborates with management across all units to develop and implement staffing, retention, recognition, performance, and organizational design, as well as develop plans to address the current and future needs of the departments. The hr manager deploys, accepts, and acts on all customer feedback mechanisms to achieve results and effect change within the division.

The human resources manager will work with designated staff to execute daily operations and HR transactional requirements for each area, in addition to leading the implementation of university-wide HR initiatives within EABS. This position will also be responsible for periodic and on-request reporting. This is an Administrative and Professional Faculty position, and may be called upon to provide support during situations outside of normal business hours. This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule after the first 4-6 months. This role jointly reports to the Chief of Staff for Enterprise Administrative and Business Services (EABS) and the Human Resources Divisional Director.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources,
Organizational Development or related field, or significant related professional experience.
• HR experience guiding management in a large organization.
• Demonstrated experience in multiple functions such as staffing/recruitment, compensation,
employee relations, rewards and recognition, performance management, and organizational
development.
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptionally responsive, consistent, and transparent HR
service delivery to all constituents.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects utilizing strong
problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills and a strong commitment to personal
and professional ethics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with human resources in higher education, operations, industrial,
regulatory, law enforcement, etc., environments.
• Experience managing or leading with successful results.
• Experience with online applicant tracking systems.
• Knowledge of process improvement strategies.
• Master's degree in a related field.

Additional Information

This is an Administrative and Professional Faculty position, and may be called upon to provide support during situations outside of normal business hours. This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule after the first 4-6 months.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
