Goucher College's History Department invites applicants for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of History, with a possibility of renewal, starting in August 2023.We are looking for a faculty member who can teach dynamic introductory and upper-division courses on Africa or Latin America, including a course on Global or World History. We are especially interested in candidates who are prepared to teach courses that address race, ethnicity, and/or slavery or the slave trade, prior to the mid-19th century. The teaching load will be 24-credits for the academic year, typically three courses a semester. Candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA, no visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
This position requires completion of the Ph.D. by the time of appointment and official transcripts will be requested at the time of hire.
Salary Range: $55,000
