The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and Cornell Tech invite applications for a full-time faculty position in our Finance area, with school affiliations in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and at Cornell Tech. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Finance or a related field, have an outstanding record of scholarship and teaching and should have a strong commitment to engagement outside of academia in ways that foster significant commercial or societal impact, as aligned with the mission of the Cornell Tech campus. Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in finance at the MBA, Executive MBA, and/or Ph.D. levels, teaching in the interdisciplinary master’s programs at Cornell Tech, possible teaching in Ithaca, supervision of doctoral candidates, and service.

Cornell Tech is a graduate campus of Cornell University located on Roosevelt Island in New York City. It includes the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, a joint academic venture between Cornell and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Cornell Tech's academic environment encourages tight integration across disciplines in technology, business, law, and design, couples fundamental research with practice, and supports societal and commercial ventures alongside research and education. In addition to world-class academic work, a distinguishing characteristic of our research is that it engages deeply with external communities, organizations, and industry to address real-world problems and contexts that amplify the direct societal and commercial impact of our research. Hubs in Health Tech, Urban Tech, and Public Interest Tech exemplify this approach, bringing together researchers, practitioners and communities to collaborate.

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established 2016) combines three Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the Nolan School of Hotel Administration (Nolan).

The Johnson School offers MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Courses and programs are taught at Cornell’s main Ithaca campus, the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, and other locations across the globe. In New York City, the Johnson School offers a one-year Tech-focused MBA program in partnership with Cornell Tech, the weekend-based Executive MBA Metro program, and the Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership in partnership with the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
