Job Summary:
This is a full-time faculty position for someone to teach upper and lower-level Dance courses including Dance techniques and choreography.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Teaching upper and lower-level Dance courses.
  • Ability to choreograph and manage the student dance company projects. Producing and/or choreographing for departmental concerts and community performances.
  • Engage in departmental and University activities.
  • Engage in recruiting for dance majors.
Required Qualifications

Education:
  • MFA in Dance or other terminal degree in dance or related discipline
Experience:
  • 3 years of teaching dance and working with students.
  • Prior teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach two or more of the following; African dance, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Improvisation musical theatre.
  • Experience working with student dance company.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
  • Prior experience working with diverse population of students in urban environment Previous experience advising and mentoring dance majors.
  • Evidence of training students in a specific movement technique.
  • Ability to teach both on line and face to face.
