Bucknell Univeristy's Office of Civic Engagement seeks a Student Leadership and Training Assistant and a Community Impact Assistant. Both positions will support operations on a temporary casual basis through May 31, 2023, working 20 hours per week.

Job Duties:
Student Leadership and Training Assistant
Oversee and supervise the Office of Civic Engagement Engaged Scholar Program including the developing, planning and executing of peer leadership training of 20+ scholars in multiple cohorts in conjunction with the Interim Director and upper level scholars. This would include:
- Creating developmentally appropriate community engaged curriculum for each cohort based upon best practices in the community engagement and equity inclusion field(s).
- Oversee scholar meetings that align with community priorities and the curriculum.
- Collaborating with community partners and the Director of Civic Engagement for learning sites for each scholar in the local area
- Collecting evaluation data and other assessment and learning agreements from each learning site.

Create community engagement learning modules in Moodle or other accessible software for student leaders to complete outside of in person trainings
- Work with interim Director of Civic Engagement and other OCE staff to compile a list of topics
- Research best practices about these topics and other resources to use for learning opportunities

Community Impact Assistant
Support the implementation of GivePulse software to collect data on community based learning and volunteer efforts at Bucknell to document and assess the impact of our work and inform us about campus and community priorities. This would specifically include:
- Scheduling and giving trainings to community partners, students, staff and faculty
- Meeting with campus stakeholders on collaborations with the software and their engaged work.
- Outreach events or partner visits assist in their implementation of the software and understanding their community priorities.
- Collaborating with L and IT staff on completing the implementation of the software with the Bucknell systems.

Work in collaboration with the Faculty Director of Academic Civic Engagement and the interim Director of Civic Engagement to collect assessment data to support future Carnegie Classification process.


Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of computers and proficiency of software including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, email and calendaring applications
Written, verbal communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Proactive approach to projects, problem solving, communication needs, and planning

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to positively interact with a wide range of individuals and commit to diversity and inclusiveness

Work Type:
These are temporary, non-benefits eligible, casual positions through May 31, 2023, working 20 hours per week.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.

Salary Range:
This is a casual staff Non-exempt position with a hiring rate of 18.50.
