GENERAL SUMMARY
A Systems Administrator at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) would be primarily responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of campus and education systems. The candidate would also coordinate with external vendors or consultants to implement new features and assist with updates or modifications to existing systems and integrations. Prior experience with student information systems (i.e. Jenzabar or Banner) is a significant advantage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with vendor / external consultants in ongoing application implementation projects to help gather business user requirements, design, configure, test and implement applications and modules

Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, Master’s degree is a plus
EXPERIENCE
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with vendor / external consultants in ongoing application implementation projects to help gather business user requirements, design, configure, test and implement applications and modules
- Help to identify interfaces required for SIS with other IT systems; collaborate with vendor / external consultant to design, configure and test interfaces
- Provide technical support and guidance to application users; Work closely with internal and external service providers as required
- Coordinate and manage application support with vendors, external consultants, and internal staff
- Ensure reliable performance of applications by tracking and monitoring performance, usage and security metrics
- Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware, software, user access or other problems
- Coordinate new software releases, production fixes and upgrades with technical teams and users
- Recommend new features or changes to configuration / workflows based on user and vendor feedback
- Modify, configure, design, and test new interfaces for applications with other IT systems based on user requirement
- Based on application changes required, provide Infrastructure requirements to Infrastructure team
- Develop and document system configurations, procedures and hardware as appropriate
- Perform database inquires and audit to verify system integrity
- Conduct in-depth tests for application modifications or implementation of new systems
- Collaborate with other IT application resources (across Business Intelligence, Enterprise System, HRIS, ERP, Learning Management and other applications) to resolve cross functional dependencies
- May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

- Prior experience of managing student information systems
- Experience interfacing with document management systems, learning management systems, scheduling software is advantageous
- Any experience of working on Jenzabar, Banner, PowerFAIDs, Onbase, Salesforce, Blackboard is a significant advantage
- Hands-on experience in various SIS modules such as advising, accounts receivable, registration, admissions, and financial aid. Experience in additional modules such as tax is advantageous
- Experience with MS SQL is preferred
- Experience with integration tools such as Dell Boomi, Microsoft SSIS, Zapier and Jitterbit is a plus
- Experience with web development is a plus
- Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in the Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist users in resolving problems and answer questions with minimal supervision
