Lecturer of Marketing and Professional Sales

Department of Marketing and Professional Sales

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Marketing and Professional Sales faculty position in the Department of Marketing and Professional Sales that begins in August 2023.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Teaching in areas such as advertising, digital and social media, agency relations, applied IMC, public relations
  • Active networking and recruitment of partnerships with relevant companies
  • Regular involvement and networking with potential partners with the goal of retaining partners for support of the department and students.

 

The responsibilities of the position support the mission and goals of the Coles College of Business and the Department of Marketing and Professional Sales including actively participating in departmental and college activities.

 

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

 

To teach undergraduate courses:

A Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to Marketing or a closely related discipline is required.

OR

A Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.

 

To teach graduate courses:

A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Marketing or a related discipline is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • 2-3 years or relevant teaching experience at the university level
  • Experience building productive relationships with the business community and experience with development/fundraising
  • Industry experience
