The Department of Information Technology Services at the State
University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for
the position of IT Security Analyst
in the IT Security and
Client Computing department.
Information Technology Services has 41 employees working as a team
to provide technology solutions across campus. The department of IT
Security and Client Computing is one of five departments within
SUNY Oneonta's ITS organization. Working together with the
Networking and Telecommunications, Systems and Solutions,
Enterprise Application Services, and Customer Support, the
department offers prospective employees an opportunity to work in
an exciting fast-paced area focused on providing high quality

Duties include but are not limited to:
and creating policies to support the information security program;
assisting in the managing and documenting of compliance efforts;
conducting risk assessments; facilitating and promoting IT security
training to the campus community; assisting and sometimes leading
incident handling procedures; monitoring of institutional systems
for intrusion; identification, and management of IT security
vulnerabilities and threats; enforcement of day-to-day information

- Bachelor's degree at time of hire.
- Experience working in Information Technology.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related degree.
- Three years' experience working in Information Technology.
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
- Training or experience in IT Security standards (i.e., NIST
- Experience with endpoint security application management.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing
- Experience developing and delivering IT training with
preference to IT security training.
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
