Job Description Summary
Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking candidates interested in joining the Wentworth community as an Executive Assistant for the Office of the President .
The Executive Assistant reports to the Chief of Staff and supports the entire office staff, including the President, Chief of Staff, and University Secretary. The position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President, including calendar and email management, meeting/event logistics and catering, travel management, and billing/reimbursement. This position is responsible for coordinating administrative and support services as well as proactively tracking and creating agendas and associated materials for a range of internal meetings. The EA is also responsible for reconciling the office’s annual budget, proposing adjustments/changes as needed, proposing specific purchases, and processing reimbursement requests from office staff. The EA also serves as the project lead for ad-hoc projects assigned by the Chief of Staff. In representing the President and the University, this position requires superior communication skills and the highest level of organization, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion.

The Office of the President, led by President Mark A. Thompson and managed by Erik Cote, Chief of Staff provides strategic vision and oversight for the university. The team frequently interacts with various internal and external stakeholder groups including Trustees, Cabinet officers, academic leadership, faculty, staff, and students. The environment is professional, collegial, and fast-paced, guided by Wentworth’s mission, vision, and strategic pillars.
