Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a Food Service Supervisor, the incumbent will act as lead worker for the various operations throughout the food service operations. Duties to include putting away $12,000 worth of stock daily with a “first in, first out” method and inventory of frozen, cooler, dry foods, paper products, chemicals, etc. Cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of food service equipment and facility; other duties as needed. Other duties include training and leading student supervisors, subordinate students and Temporary Staff in food/beverage production, sanitation and customer service.

The Department of Retail Services is hiring to fill one full time, seasonal position. The break for seasonal employees will vary from year to year but generally runs from the end of December through mid-January and the end of May though mid-August. Dates and times are subject to change based on needs.

General hours for the position are 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Position also requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

The hourly rate is $18-$20 an hour; Individual candidates' experience, education and qualifications will determine the appropriate starting rate at the time of hire.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen or equivalent





Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience handling and putting product away using FIFO
  • Experience in custodial/equipment sanitation
  • ServSafe Food Handler or similar certification
