Position Summary:

The Office of Records and Registration is seeking a full time Senior Business Analyst for Records and Enrollment. The position reports to the Associate Director for Records and Enrollment, and is a key member of the Records and Enrollment team. The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) supports the Records and Enrollment Team in researching, documenting, and implementing best practices for student records and student enrollment, and in designing and executing end-user training initiatives for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work collaboratively with the Associate Director to maintain setup in the Peoplesoft student records module (PAWS); to research, propose, and test enhancements within the module; as well as to test and validate PAWS integration with other campus software – including, most notably, the upcoming integration project with Civitas Scheduling and Registration.

  • Assist in planning and crafting communication and training materials for campus-wide use, including assisting with web-page edits and maintenance through Wordpress; creating and updating Qualtrics-based office forms; and monitoring Ivy Chatbot activity.

  • Independently maintain and document a number of student records business processes, including batch processes for Term Activation, Student Groups, Term Honors/Dean’s List, and GPA recalculation.

  • Receive PAWS security and access requests through email, phone, and the IT ticket system; review such requests and determine appropriate level of access before re-routing the request as needed. Serve as a first point of contact for troubleshooting requests, responding to and/or triaging inquiries.

  • Occasionally provide transactional support to the team in high-volume periods, such as assisting with student enrollment for new first-year students. Additional tasks or projects may be assigned to support the day-to-day functions of the office.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree.

  • Strong customer service in a technology-based environment.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Residency requirement: In accordance with the New Jersey First Act P.L. 2011 c.70, effective September 1, 2011, new public employees in certain positions (faculty exempt) are required to obtain New Jersey residency within one (1) year of employment. Applicants must meet the requirements listed.
