Clinical Assistant Professor, Counseling and Clinical Psychology

Medaille University is actively seeking applications for a core faculty member to teach in our APA Accredited (on contingency through 2027), Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at its Buffalo Campus. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology.  Successful applicants will have graduate level teaching, particularly in cognitive and personality assessment, dissertation advisement experience, and strong potential for scholarly activity. Interest and experience in assessment and intervention with children, adolescents, and/or emerging adults; clinical supervision; clinical practice; and developing applied, programmatic research are preferred.  Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in New York and degree from a CPA or APA accredited program is preferred.

The PsyD Program, which is designated as a licensure-qualifying program in New York, is based on the practitioner-scholar model and we received accreditation on contingency in March, 2022. Initial contingent accreditation is routine for new programs.

Medaille University seeks to hire faculty with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, and civic engagement.  We provide release time for clinical and other scholarship and work-life balance. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, multicultural practice, and social justice.
