Position Summary
The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at University at Buffalo (UB) invites candidates to apply for the positions of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor with a start date in Spring or Fall 2023. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.
The successful candidate in the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor position will be expected to:
The successful candidate for an Associate Professor or Full Professor position should have a strong record of sustained externally funded research, scholarly accomplishments, and teaching experience.
Applications at the Assistant level should have a record of funding success or have demonstrated through scholarly works, a high likelihood of obtaining extramural funding.
Applications from all areas of Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology are welcome to apply, there is a preference for candidates that have a research program the focuses on the neurobiology of :

Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a doctorate in Pharmacology, Neuroscience or a closely related field.
- PhD must be conferred prior to appointment.
- Assistant Professors – a history of funding is preferred
- Associate or Full Professor – a history of significant federal funding and scholarly achievements
