The Wingate University School of Pharmacy aspires to provide a transformative experience

student pharmacists on two campuses located in Wingate, NC and Hendersonville, NC.
Fourth year students complete Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in four regions

The position. Wingate University School of Pharmacy and Atrium Health Wake Forest
Baptist are seeking applicants for a full-time, security-track faculty appointment with the
School of Pharmacy based at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem, NC. The
successful candidate will have an Adult Medicine practice site, precept learners at Wake
Forest Baptist, and co-coordinate Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in the Triad area
of North Carolina. Professional service and scholarship are also required.
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, located in Winston Salem, NC, is an academic medical
center and part of the Atrium Health Enterprise. Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is an 800+
tertiary-care medical center and also includes Brenner Children’s Hospital. The network also
includes >300 primary and specialty care clinics, 5 community hospitals, and a partnership
with the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Learners from all disciplines train within
the medical center, including pharmacy, nursing, PT/OT, PA, RD, and other allied health

The ideal start date is January 3, 2023. Candidates must possess a doctor of pharmacy
degree plus post-graduate training (PGY2-Internal Medicine, PGY2-Pharmacotherapy, or
fellowship) or equivalent experience. Prior experience as a clinical pharmacy preceptor and
pharmacy academia is preferred. Candidates must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in
North Carolina and obtain a pharmacist license in NC within 3 months of hire. Academic rank
and salary are dependent upon qualifications, previous teaching/precepting involvement, and
research and scholarship accomplishments.
