Position Purpose

The Divisional Fiscal Manager provides a full range of financial services to a diverse portfolio of areas in the Provost Division to improve efficiency, compliance, and coordination of resources,. The manager is a key resource, providing expertise, leveraging talents and opportunities in support of Dartmouth’s mission.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated exceptional skills and experience in analysis, compliance, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven record of maintaining professional standards handling highly sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing relevant information management, database and other systems.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Higher Education is preferred.
  • Experience working in Dartmouth’s financial systems is preferred.

Financial Management – Maintains deep understanding of the departments, centers, and programs in the Provost’s Division, with focus on a portfolio of areas, provides management from transaction level oversight to reporting and support through the full fiscal year cycle.

Sponsored Projects – Provides in-depth understanding and experience in the Sponsored Project funding, reporting, and compliance cycle. Manages specific sponsored projects accounts as assigned.

Ad hoc Analysis and Projects – Manages a number of specific projects and tracking applications in support of resource allocation, decision making, and presentations.
