Title: Executive Director

Grand Teton Association seeks a strategic, transformative leader who will work to deepen the impact of this extraordinary organization and ensure its interpretive mission, retail services, and public land agency partnerships continue to grow and thrive.

Founded in 1937, Grand Teton Association (GTA) has a long history of supporting the education, interpretation, and research initiatives of public land agency partners. GTA’s mission is to inspire deeper connection, better understanding, and enduring support for our public lands. GTA does this through partnering with and supporting public land agencies as a nonprofit retail corporation that gives 100% of its profits back to support public lands in the Greater Yellowstone region.

With annual revenues of over $4 million, GTA curates and manages over a dozen interpretive retail locations. GTA provided over $ 1 million in total direct and indirect aid to GTA partners in 2021. When visitors shop at GTA stores, they are not only choosing from the best selection of educational materials but also putting dollars straight back into educational projects and initiatives at Grand Teton National Park, Bridger-Teton National Forest, and the National Elk Refuge.

The GTA Board of Directors seeks a visionary leader to drive the organization forward in its mission to support these public lands. The Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for overseeing strategy development and execution, management, and the success of GTA’s interpretive partnerships and products. The ED must be an inclusive, thoughtful, and strategic leader who is committed to the GTA mission and has the skills and experience to develop the GTA team to be industry leaders. They will lead a dedicated team of staff, collaborate with an active and engaged Board of Directors, and serve as the voice and face of the organization.

Location

The Executive Director will work from offices in Grand Teton National Park, Moose, WY (greater Jackson Hole area). Periodic remote work is possible. Regular travel is expected.

Compensation

A competitive compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits package, will be offered based on experience. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $150,000–$170,000.
