The Indiana University School of Public Health‐Bloomington (SPH‐B) invites applications for the position of Associate Dean or Executive Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Enrollment. This is a tenured/tenure-track/non-tenure track, open-rank search, welcoming applications from diverse, highly qualified, and dedicated faculty member committed to the highest standards in research and teaching.

Responsibilities : The Associate Dean or Executive Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Enrollment is a member of the Dean’s administrative leadership team and works closely with the Dean to provide strategic vision and administrative leadership to promote and support the academic mission of the SPH‐B, with the objective of enhancing the School’s commitment to excellence in education. As a faculty member in one of the five departments of the school, the Associate Dean or Executive Assistant Dean will dedicate 50% their efforts to their individual faculty responsibilities and 50% to the responsibilities associated with the administrative position.

Specifically, the Associate Dean or Executive Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Enrollment will: Collaborate with the five departments to ensure compliance with current SPH-B policies and practices regarding undergraduate and graduate student experience and student support services; Work with departments to monitor credit hour production; Seek and implement strategies for promoting undergraduate and graduate student enrollment in collaboration with School leadership; and Work closely with the Dean to further the school’s goals and mission.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in an academic discipline directly related to or encompassed within the School of Public Health-Bloomington. Candidates need not be appointed as a clinical or tenured full professor at the time of application but should meet the requirements for appointment as a clinical or tenured full professor. A demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in all aspects of research, education, and service is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a record of achievement appropriate for a senior career level public health academic, including demonstrable devotion to teaching, leadership, organization, and service, and, especially, a positive team spirit.
