Overview

The CEFR team at Princeton serves the University's mission of advancing knowledge through relationships with corporations and foundations. We support faculty and other campus partners at the University through a proactive process of identifying, initiating, and managing relationships. We work to understand the needs and priorities of corporations and foundations and align them with the strengths of Princeton.

The Office of Corporate Engagement and Foundation Relations (CEFR) is seeking a part time intern for approximately 10-20 hours per week to support our mission and staff. The position will primarily work with data related to database projects. The position will also work on new and exciting special projects that contribute to fostering industry partnerships, the innovation ecosystem, and our goals for diversity, equity and inclusion. This position will also assist with conferences, administrative and logistics items that are aspects of the special projects.



Responsibilities

    Gather and report data using the various online resources available to CEFR including Salesforce, Tableau, Funding Gateway, Pivot, and the Library Assist with various data and database projects necessary for CEFR operations Assist with updating and maintaining the data in Salesforce, Funding Gateway and Open RFP funding opportunities Google sheet Assist with creating and maintaining funding opportunity tiles on the Princeton Research Funding Gateway website Assist with coordinating interactions Prepare, proofread, edit and finalize materials and presentations Design Power Point presentations Assist with CEFR meetings and events including assisting visitors/attendees, as well as schedule meetings on an as needed basis Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

    Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to show discretion with confidential information Excellent interpersonal skills Must be proactive and thorough in the completion of projects assigned Must have excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Must show initiative and willingness to take on new projects and work independently as well as part of a team Ability to manage a significant workload of multiple staff members and prioritize projects as needed Must be able to exercise independent judgment and make decisions based on established policies and procedures in supervisor's absence

Education Required

    A minimum of a high school diploma and 1- 3 years' experience from which compatible knowledge and ability have been acquired Must have high level of proficiency with technology and the Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong Web searching skills required as well as the desire and ability to learn other electronic information systems and computer applications
