Position Description Summary/Purpose :

The Data Administrator will develop and maintain a tracking system for recording student outcomes. Working with the Project Director, they will begin by consulting with GU Career Services to learn best practice strategies for tracking employment outcomes and will develop a process for getting updated student employment placement information from the department. The electronic tracking system will capture employment outcomes of graduates of the BSPH and MPH programs and other relevant information to be determined such as practicum sites, student feedback on placements, areas of specialization, etc. A manual to document the use of the system will also be developed to aid in sustainability across eventual staff transitions. The Data Administrator is a grant funded position and will be paid approx. 8 hours/week @ $20/hour for a total of $8,450 per year.

  • The Data Administrator will develop an electronic tracking system to capture employment outcomes of graduates of the BS in Public Health and MPH programs and other relevant information TBD such as practicum sites, areas of specialization, etc.
  • A document/manual to explain the use of the system will also be developed to aid in sustainability across staff transitions if needed.
  • The Data Administrator will populate the tracking system with existing students and update the employment placement and other information as appropriate.
  • Work with the Career Services to learn best practice strategies for tracking employment outcomes and develop process for getting updated student employment placement information from the department.
  • Meet virtually with PD 2x/month
  • Meet prn virtually with Community Partnerships Liaison (TBH)
  • Meet prn virtually with Career Services
  • Meet prn virtually with HSC 460 faculty coordinator regarding practicum sites
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.

Minimum Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Health Admin, Health Science, Public Health, etc.)
  • Experience in spreadsheet tracking and data management systems
Education, Training and Experience :
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Health Admin, Health Science, Public Health, etc.)
  • 1-3 years’ experience
