Assistant Professor of Psychological Science

Saint Vincent College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Psychological Science at the Assistant Professor rank to begin August 2023.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Psychology (will consider ABD) with a specialization that fills current needs of the department (esp. Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, or Health Psychology). Prior undergraduate teaching experience highly desirable.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring.

Duties:  Teach undergraduate courses that support the Psychology major.  Specific course responsibilities will depend largely on the background of the successful candidate.  Applicants should have an active research agenda that can include undergraduate students as research assistants. Other duties include academic advising and service to the college and department.  The standard teaching load is 24 credit hours per year (4-4 load). The teaching load during the probationary (pre-tenure) period is 21 credit hours per year (4-3 load).
