Job Summary

Assist Head Athletic Trainer in administering programs of injury prevention and injury care for all student athletes. Proactively assure maximum safety of all athletics participants. Assist with football and oversee Track & Field/Cross-Country. Follow Federal, Divisional and University athletics regulations, to include rules and regulations established by SunBelt Conference (SBC), and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA.)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate athletic training students
  • Serves as clinical instructor in Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Athletic Training Curriculum
  • Provide comprehensive sports medicine health care program in regards to injury prevention, treatment of injuries and post injury rehabilitation
  • Compile and maintain records of athletic injuries/illnesses
  • Assist in daily management and operation of athletics training room
  • Evaluate undergraduate and graduate athletic training students
  • Represent University at meetings, open houses and recruitment events
  • Work closely with team physician and all medical specialists


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Other Required Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice athletics training in State of Georgia
  • Possess NATABOC (National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification) certificate
  • CPR/AED certified

Required Experience
  • One (1) or more years of related work experience

  • Master's Degree


Proposed Salary

$50,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.

  • Ability to evaluate therapeutic requirements for student athletes, and fit and modify therapeutic and protective equipment

  • Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
  • Knowledge of relative supplies, equipment, and service ordering and inventory control

SKILLS
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
  • Skilled in First Aid practices and procedures
