The Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Human Environmental Science at The University of Alabama, seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor tenure-track appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a robust scholarly research program with external support that will contribute to one or more of our academic programs in Human Development and Family Studies (Adolescence and Youth Development, Child Life, Family Life Education and Advocacy), Addiction and Recovery Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Early Childhood Education. Preference will be given to applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community and to applicants with a research focus on developmental or interpersonal/family-focused approaches to understanding substance use, addiction, and/or recovery.
