Part-time, 20 - 25 hours/week when school is in session, may include days, nights, and/or weekends, flexibility to work all shifts as needed covering Academy sponsored functions and attending training sessions. Schedule may vary according to departmental and Academy needs.
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of food, equipment and supplies between Dining Services operations and catering events driven by the needs of the business. These include daily food deliveries between operations, catering deliveries, dorm deliveries, picking up of equipment/supplies in dorms and support in Lamont Health deliveries.
Incumbent is expected to work with a [low, medium, high level] of independence and autonomy, and exercise a [low, medium, high] degree of initiative, influence, and judgment in decisions impacting staff and department operations.
Direct/Indirect Reports
Direct report is Executive Chef. Indirect reports are Catering Manager for catering/dorm and Lamont Health deliveries. Unit Managers provide indirect support in areas relating to their units.
Internal & External Contacts
This position works in collaboration with all Dining employees. During a workday, will be in contact with administrators, campus safety employees, students, faculty and staff.

- Proper maintenance and storage of food items and equipment in delivery vehicles.
- Keep all equipment, vehicles, hand trucks, dollies clean and in working order.
- Responsible for basic maintenance of vehicle/s, ensuring gas, oil and tire pressure. Report any problems to direct supervisor.
- Maintaining proper storage and return of items to correct storage areas.
- Adhering to established protocols, policies, driving zones and speed of vehicle.
- Adherence to Dining Services and Academy policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Serve Safe best practices in securing the transportation of food and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining complete and accurate inventories of all items
- Observe all policies including MSDS, safety and sanitation.
- Keep informed of all material safety data.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma.
- Must be 21 years of age or old
- Driving experience of commercial vehicles preferred.
- Experience in working in an institutional or campus setting
- Customer service experience desirable
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage one’s time to complete daily responsibilities and tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and/or basic understanding of using computers to access e-mail notifications.
- Strong organizational skills in managing inventories and documentation related to job requirements.
- Respect for diversity of identities and experiences, an orientation toward equity and inclusion, and cultural competency in all aspects of Academy life.

- Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work and will require the ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, go up and down flights of steps, lift and push heavy objects as well as stoop, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Successfully complete a criminal background check (reviewed every 5 years).
- Clean Driving record (reviewed annually).
- Must consistently wear assigned uniform and equipment and adhere to the appearance guidelines.
- Expectations to work annual school events that include, but not limited to Graduation, Exeter/Andover weekend, Principal’s Day
- Other duties assigned to support Dining Services.
