DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH AND RECRUITMENT

California State University, Los Angeles, invites applications for the above Administrator II position.

The Position : Under the direction of the College of Professional and Global Education’s (PaGE) Associate Dean, the Director of Outreach and Recruitment is responsible for identifying, establishing, and implementing recruitment strategies that expand education access to diverse populations and achieve PaGE’s program enrollment goals. The Director will: plan and conduct student outreach and recruitment activities; monitor and track prospective students and their enrollments into PaGE programs; build and motivate a strong team of professionals focused on developing and executing activities and tasks that increase educational access and yield higher enrollments; increase campus and community awareness about PaGE and Cal State LA with the goal of increasing educational access and enrollments into PaGE programs from local-area community colleges, businesses, governmental agencies, and nonprofit organizations; and ensure cost-effective utilization of budgeted dollars.

Required Qualifications and Experience : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution. The incumbent will have: a minimum of 5-years of demonstrated success with planning, developing, executing student outreach and recruitment activities; experience working in college admission advisement, recruitment, student counseling, or university student activities and programming; an understanding of budget development and tracking; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated success with managing projects, both small and large; excellent critical thinking skills including analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and conceptualization; demonstrated commitment to student success and high-impact practices; excellent supervisory skills to motivate, support, and hold accountable staff; and demonstrated success working with diverse populations and audiences.

Preferred Qualifications : Master’s Degree, preferably in Student Counseling, Education, Marketing, or a closely related field. Working knowledge of community college or CSU college admission and recruitment practices and policies. Knowledge of FERPA regulations. Knowledge and experience working in a large public comprehensive university setting.

Compensation : Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Appointment : The Administrator II appointment will be made under the guidelines for management and supervisory employees of the California State University. All rights and benefits associated with this appointment are governed by the Management Personnel Plan.
