The Graduate Program Coordinator in the Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics(MEAM) department will manage all aspects of the MEAM Masters and Engineering Entrepreneurship (EENT) programs, including supporting the MEAM Master's Chair, and the Director of the EENT program.
Job Description
The Graduate Program Coordinator will advise students and serve as the point person for the Master's and EENT advising infrastructure. Assist with the preparation/maintenance of the Masters curriculum. Coordinate recruiting, create and maintain the Course Planning Guides using graduation audits, and maintain Masters and EENT records, databases and statistics. Maintain degree audits, the Petition database, and MSE and EENT minor and certificate guidelines. Handle all administrative aspects of the EENT grant funding, including application processes, and budget management. Assist with and coordinate outreach to EENT alumni to cultivate alumni involvement and promote the EENT mentorship program. Coordinate special events or programming as needed. Prepare orientation folders and organize welcome events at the start of the academic year. Manage Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Reduced Course Load (RCL) and petitions. Manage the MEAM Master's scholarship and provide faculty support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of related administrative experience, preferably in higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
