Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, invites applications for a part-time, in-person position as an instructor for two sections of English Composition II in the spring 2023 term.

We seek candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in English or higher
  • Ability to teach Composition I and/or II
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate students
  • Ability to work collegially with other faculty members in the department and across campus
  • Understanding and support of the mission of Texas Lutheran University
  • A commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion

In addition to the above requirements, preference will be given to candidates offering the following specific skills:

  • Experience teaching Composition I and/or II
  • Specialization in Rhetoric and Composition
  • Expertise in working with diverse student populations

The TLU Composition Program is a part of the Department of Communication, Cultures, English, & World Languages, which offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Studies, English and Spanish.
