Description

The Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Management position effective September 16, 2023. This is a full-time position with a 9-month service period. Candidates will teach classes in business communications and will also contribute to our management major by covering topics such as organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, social issues in management, change management, cross-cultural management, human resource analytics, negotiation and team dynamics. This position will actively engage in research in the organizational behavior and management field.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in multiple modalities, including online, hybrid and in-person, in an urban-serving campus environment with a diverse student body, many of whom are first generation college students.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in management, organizational behavior, business communications or a related field granted or expected to be completed by summer 2023. Applicants must demonstrate excellence with respect to scholarly research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
