Description
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at DePauw University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2023. Ph.D. in Physics (by the time of appointment) is required. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department specifically seeks candidates to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate physics and astronomy courses. Strongest consideration will be given to candidates in any area of experimental physics who will develop a lively on-campus research program involving undergraduates. Teaching assignment is six courses including laboratory instruction per year, and funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
