Department of English


Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of English faculty positions in the Department of English that begins August 2023. 


Responsibilities Include

  • Teach General Education, primarily First-Year Composition. The current teaching load is 5/4 with university service obligations.
  • Faculty in the Department teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.


Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.


A Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a closely related discipline is required.


Preferred Qualifications Include

  • Demonstrated skill teaching college composition.
  • Experience teaching diverse populations at KSU or other similar institutions.
  • Graduate training in rhetoric and composition.
  • Training and experience teaching in hybrid and online formats.
  • Familiarity with and application of High Impact Practices (HIPs).
  • Experience teaching multimodal writing.
  • Experience teaching literature surveys.
