Department Head/Family & Consumer Sciences & Ext. FCS

New Mexico State University, Department of Family & Consumer Sciences/Extension Family & Consumer Sciences, is recruiting for the position of Department Head.  This is a tenured, 12 month full time appointment.  Candidate must have obtained the rank of Professor or equivalent with a doctorate in Family and Consumer Sciences (including Fashion Merchandising and Design, Human Development and Family Science, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Food Science and Technology or Human Nutrition and Dietetic Science) or related field. The Department Head will manage all aspects of administration including fiscal and personnel management, developing and maintaining departmental facilities, and performing faculty, staff, and program evaluations, and will provide proactive, effective leadership while fostering positive working relationships among faculty, staff, and students within and among academic and Extension departments located both on and off-campus.
