The Robinson College of Business (RCB) at Georgia State University (GSU) invites candidates for a tenure track faculty position within the Department of Management in the area of Supply Chain Management to be effective August 2023. The rank is open with a preference for hiring at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek applicants with a passion and demonstrated capability for publishing high-quality research in premier Operations and Supply Chain Management journals. The Department values a commitment to quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary, teaching load, and research support are competitive with other Research 1 universities.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate and a research agenda in contemporary supply chain management issues. Of particular interest are applicants who would benefit by our strong linkages with industry and who have a keen interest in empirical research approaches that address disciplinary and interdisciplinary business problems. The faculty of the Department of Management are committed to innovative teaching; diverse, equitable, and inclusive excellence; and interdisciplinary collaboration. About the Department and Faculty

 

The Department of Management is excited about implementing a new strategic plan that calls for creating differentiation by promoting empirical and field research in partnership with industry. The department is composed of outstanding and collegial faculty whose research and teaching interests represent different facets of management including Operations and Supply Chain Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Business Analytics. Our faculty members are enthusiastically engaged in research and regularly publish in the top journals in their disciplines, hold leadership positions in professional associations, and sit on the editorial boards of top journals. They also engage with colleagues in other units of the Robinson College of Business, GSU, and neighboring and international universities in a variety of professional activities.

It offers a suite of signature programs, including WomenLead, its nationally recognized undergraduate leadership program, and week-long residencies for high-performing students on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley and Washington, DC.

 

Robinson has broad and deep relationships with the Atlanta business community through its insight (analytics) labs focusing on fintech, legal analytics, operations, and social media. The college also is home to discipline-specific roundtables in financial leadership, human resources, logistics, marketing, and sales.
