Job Description Summary

The School of Architecture and Design (SoAD) at Wentworth Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple full-time positions in Architecture at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor .

Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to sustainable design, as seen through the lens of their areas of expertise. This could include low-carbon and/or high-performance building systems, urbanism, computational design, or history, theory, and criticism.

Teaching responsibilities for these positions will include lecture courses, seminars, and design studios at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Faculty members are expected to deliver courses that integrate their areas of expertise, engage in an active research and scholarship agenda, advise students, and meet service obligations (school, university, and community).

Applicant qualifications include professional licensure in Architecture and/or a doctoral degree in Architecture or a related field.

Wentworth’s School of Architecture and Design (SoAD) offers highly respected programs in Architecture (BS and M.Arch – NAAB accredited), Industrial Design (BS – NASAD accredited), and Interior Design (BS – CIDA accredited). The mission of the SoAD is to empower design students and educators from all backgrounds to become creative, civic-minded problem-solvers, responding to global challenges and contributing to local communities. The SoAD guides students to engage locally and globally, to explore advanced technologies, to collaborate within and across disciplines, to gain industry experience via cooperative education, and to learn to design sustainably and equitably. Comprising approximately 670 undergraduate and 90 graduate students, the SoAD has robust international study opportunities at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
