The Classroom and Events Support Coordinator is responsible for the
technology development, implementation, and support for
instructional use and in support of meetings and events at Buena
Vista University. This includes working with a diverse group of
internal and external stakeholders, coordinating third-party
support efforts, and effective communication with all parties. The
Classroom and Events Support Coordinator serves as the leader of a
team of well-trained students who collaborate with members of
planning teams for events and who support the technical aspects of
meetings, events, and academic instruction. The Classroom and
Events Support Coordinator participates in strategic planning
efforts for the visionary use of technology at the University.
Direct technical responsibilities include running audio and video
systems at major events; providing and, or coordinating technology
support for BVU’s radio and television stations; and ensuring
proper setup and support of lighting, audio, and video systems for
rehearsals and performances.
