Applications and nominations are invited for the Assistant or Associate Professor tenure-track position in Merchandising in the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University. This is a nine-month position, salary and rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

Required Job Qualifications:

Assistant Professor Level

  • Earned Ph.D. degree or advanced ABD status in Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, or closely related discipline at time of appointment (August 16, 2023); Demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach college-level courses in two or more of the following areas: (1) retailing, (2) merchandising, (3) data analytics, (4) integrated marketing communications, and (5) social media and promotion; Evidence of peer-reviewed publications and/or academic conference proceedings; and Evidence of collaborative work with faculty, students, peers, and/or administrators

Associate Professor Level

  • Earned Ph.D. degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, or closely related discipline; Demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach college-level courses in two or more of the following areas: (1) retailing, (2) merchandising, (3) data analytics, (4) integrated marketing communications, and (5) social media and promotion; Evidence of peer-reviewed publications and/or academic conference proceedings; and Evidence of collaborative work with faculty, students, peers, and/or administrators

Preferred Job Qualifications for both Assistant and Associate Levels

  • Evidence of a cohesive program of research as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and/or conference proceedings; Demonstrated ability to secure external funding in support of research, teaching, and/or outreach; Commitment to teaching excellence and mentorship of undergraduate and/or graduate students; Demonstrated knowledge in merchandising technologies; Strong evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice (DEISJ); Experience in curricular development; and Evidence of engagement with industry partners and/or community members
