Job Details

The Graduate College of Education (GCOE) seeks an Associate Dean who, in partnership with the

Dean, helps the college enact our commitment to social justice, educational equity, and inclusive

teaching and learning, as expressed in our Statement of Purpose and Guiding Commitments. As a

key member of the Dean's Leadership Team, the Associate Dean is active in the college’s shared

governance processes; understands, challenges, and improves the systems in place to support an

equitable and successful student experience at every level; and brings their deep experience with

education settings to creatively and effectively implement programs, projects, and ideas. As a

college of diverse faculty, staff, and students, we particularly welcome applications from diverse

racial, gender, language, and ability background

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree required, and at least 3 years of

successful leadership experience in a university setting, with a focus on success for diverse

students. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of CA credentialing and accreditation; experience

with district partnerships and pathway programs; successful project management and teamwork;

skilled with data collection and analysis.
